Pati Schaefer - Artisan Cowgirl
Pati first forged he love of working with silver thru art education. 14 years ago she took an extensive course at Lill Street Studio in Chicago, learning new fabrication methods for silver. Travel for her career in international finance provided Pati access to the gemstone markets in Asia and Australia. Pati has been a juried artist for the last 14 years at Art in the Barn in her hometown of Barrington.
She retired after almost 4 decades in Corporate America and happily joined the Fontana Home team when they opened in 2019. Working at Fontana Home has provided a community of customers that are now friends and family. Fontana Home exclusively carries Pati's unique and custom designs encompassing her handmade silver pieces, pearls and gemstones.
Pati and her husband Ed live in Tower Lakes (North Barrington) with their golden retriever Watson. They love visiting the national parks and have had some amazing experiences including rafting for a week through the Grand Canyon and flying to Katmai in Alaska to see the grizzlies in the wild. Daughter Lizzie works with kids with special needs at Barrington High School and coaches special Olympics.
